CIAG Funding Opportunties

CIAG Currently has five grant programs.  As shown below, two have applications due in the summer and three have applications due in the spring.

Summer Grants (Grants are due on July 15, 2008 by 4:00 p.m. - Program will fund up to 2 grants in each category)

These two grant programs maintain competitiveness in integrated animal genomics.  The programs will provide for infrastructure and personnel needed for innovative and significant research.

To provide funding for non-personnel genomics infrastructure (e.g., equipment, animal lines,

etc.) needs for research conducted by CIAG faculty.

To provide funding for research personnel working with CIAG faculty.

Spring Grants (Call for Proposals are usually issued around February 1 depending on available funding)

The projects funded by these grants further the goals of CIAG to promote collaboration and enhance research competitiveness in genomic areas.  Use the links below for more information about these grant programs and how to apply for available funds.  Only CIAG faculty members may apply for these Spring Grants.

  • CIAG Competitive Grants Program

To provide "seed money" to fund research in animal, microbial, and comparative genomics

     conducted by CIAG faculty.

  • CIAG Genomics Symposia and Workshops Program

To support symposia or workshops at Iowa State University that further the goals of the CIAG

     center.

  • CIAG Genomic Scholar/Fellows Program

To Support visiting scientists to spend two to six weeks at Iowa State University to develop
