  • Failure to follow these guidelines will result in rejection of your application.
  • No more than three projects are likely to be funded in 2009.
  • Only CIAG Faculty may apply for these grants.

Purpose

The purpose of these grants is to provide "seed money" to fund research in animal, microbial, and comparative genomics.  Priority will be given to projects that are expected to continue developing and to attract funding from other sources beyond the period covered by the "seed" funding.  It is expected that faculty members will be cognizant of the national priorities in this area.

Eligibility

Staff members on visiting or temporary appointments are not eligible.  Collaborative projects are strongly encouraged and will receive high priority provided that the principal investigators involved meet the above-criteria.  The roles of co-principal investigators must be clear stated.
