CIAG Genomics Scholars/Fellows Program

Applications for Funds for Visiting Scientists in Animal, Microbial, and Comparative Genomics

The Center for Integrated Animal Genomics (CIAG) invites applications for funds to support visiting scientists at Iowa State University or to support visits of ISU personnel to other institutions.  The objective of the program is to develop and strengthen collaborative efforts of CIAG faculty with scientists outside ISU.  CIAG will award up to $500 per week to support travel and other reimburseable expenses, in accordance with ISU policy.  Applications for travel grants for post-doctoral fellows will also be considered.  Sponsored visits must be from two to six weeks in duration to allow for effective interactions.  Visitors to ISU are expected to interact with members of CIAG through workshops, seminars, and collaborative research.  Any full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty member (or P&S employee at the rank of P17 or above) may apply for funds.  The application deadline is May 15, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.  Funds will be available July 1, 2009 and must be spent by June 30, 2010.
